Affiliate program

Your first month as an affiliate

Six short steps, each a few minutes of work, with messages you can copy. Swap [your link] for the link in your affiliate portal.

  1. 1

    Day 1

    Start with 3 people

Your link is in your affiliate portal. Every time someone signs up through it and buys a subscription, you earn 25% of their first payment. The average first purchase is $23.71, so that is about $5.93 per subscriber. Your first payout is sent once you pass $50, which is 9 paying subscribers. Each commission is held for 60 days before it is paid, so refunds and chargebacks can settle first.

Anyone who clicks your link is tracked to you for 30 days, even if they sign up later.

One thing to do today: send your link to 3 people you know are job hunting right now. A personal message beats a public post every time.

    A message to a friend
Hey, I know you're applying for jobs right now. I've been using SkillSyncer to check my resume against each job posting before I apply. It shows the exact skills the job asks for that your resume is missing, and the first scan is free: [your link] (that's my affiliate link, full disclosure).
  2. 2

    Day 3

Start with people who already trust you

The fastest first payouts come from people you already know. Take five minutes and write down 10 names:

    • Friends or family between jobs
    • Classmates who graduated in the last year
    • Former coworkers affected by layoffs
    • Anyone in your network whose LinkedIn says "Open to work"

Message each one individually. Mention something specific to them, like the role they want, then offer the tool as a way to get more interviews from the applications they are already sending.

Always say it is an affiliate link. People trust a recommendation more when you are upfront about it, and disclosure is required.

A message to someone job hunting
Saw you're looking for a new role. One thing that helped me: before applying, paste the job posting and your resume into SkillSyncer. It gives a match score and lists the keywords you're missing, so you can fix the resume before you hit apply. Free to try: [your link] (affiliate link).
  3. 3

    Day 6

Post once, where job seekers are reading

LinkedIn is where job seekers and the people helping them spend their time. One useful post can bring in more signups than a dozen links dropped in comments.

Posts that work lead with something the reader can use right away, and put the link at the end. Pick one of these and make it your own.

    Before and after
I scanned my resume against a job I wanted and it matched [your score]%. The posting asked for skills I have but never wrote down. A few edits later it matched [your new score]%. Tool I used, free to try: [your link] (affiliate link)
    A tip, then the tool
Job search tip: most companies filter resumes by keywords before a person ever reads them. Copy the skills from the posting word for word, where they are true for you. I check mine with a free scan here: [your link] (affiliate link)
    For people who help others
If you review resumes for friends, mentees or clients: stop guessing which keywords matter. Scan the resume against the actual posting and fix what is missing. This is what I use: [your link] (affiliate link)
  4. 4

    Day 10

Go where the job hunt is happening

Communities are full of people asking "why am I not getting interviews?" That is exactly the question the scanner answers.

    • Alumni groups
    • Bootcamp and course Slack or Discord servers
    • Layoff support groups
    • Industry subreddits and forums

Read each community's rules first. Most ban self promotion and affiliate links. Where they do, answer the question properly and offer the link only when someone asks. Where links are allowed, still lead with real help.

Never post the same message in many places at once. It reads as spam, it gets you banned, and commissions from spam are voided.

    Answering "why no interviews?"
Usually it is keywords. Resume filters compare your resume to the posting, so if the posting says "stakeholder management" and your resume says "worked with teams", you may never be seen. Put the posting next to your resume and match the wording wherever it is true. I use a scanner that lists the missing ones: [your link] (affiliate link, happy to explain more).
  5. 5

    Day 15

    Check what is working

Two weeks in, check your affiliate portal. It shows every visitor, signup and paying subscriber your link has brought in, and how close you are to the $50 first payout.

At about $5.93 per subscriber, an extra $100 takes 17 paying subscribers. If your warm list is used up, the next step is one public post and one community.

Check what is working, then do more of it.

  6. 6

    Day 22

    Make it evergreen

Messages and posts fade in a few days. A link in the right place keeps earning for months.

    • Coaches and mentors: add it to your intake checklist or the follow-up email after a session.
    • Creators: put it in your YouTube descriptions, your link-in-bio page and your newsletter footer.
    • Bloggers: write one honest guide on tailoring a resume to a posting, and link it there.
    • Everyone: add it to your LinkedIn featured section.

Whatever you do, keep it honest: say it is an affiliate link, never promise a job, and never pay or reward people to sign up.

The rules, and why

Always say it is an affiliate link.

Disclosure is required, and people trust an upfront recommendation more.

No spam, mass posting or bought traffic.

It gets you banned from the places you share, and it does not convert.

No ads that bid on our brand name.

Those people were already on their way to us.

No signing up through your own link.

Commission is for people you bring in, not for yourself.

No fake accounts, fake reviews or paid signups.

This is the fraud the review process exists to stop.

No promising a job or a result.

A better matched resume helps, but nobody can promise an offer.
